We’ve reached the halfway point on this beautiful custom home currently under construction on 6 acres on the southern edge of the Salida city limits. The property has a large pond as well as the south fork of the Arkansas River which flows through the property. Our client grew up on a farm in the Midwest and wanted a home which would reflect his roots but still have an appropriate look for the Colorado mountains. We collaborated with architect Keith Helmstetler to modify one of our existing Trailside Estates plans to meet both the site and the client’s needs. 

 

The result is a great home for an active family: large country kitchen open to the great room with a formal dining room. The “barn” has guest quarters with a full bath as well as a workout area and craft room.
