"100 Percent Committed"
In Colorado's 'Mountain Region' (i.e. Excluding all front-range metro areas) 108 homebuilders have been approved as Energy Star builders. What this means is a builder agrees to build at least one home per year which will meet Energy Star performance guidelines. The reality is that some builders will build one home per year to Energy Star specs but the remainder of the homes they build (or a percentage thereof) do not meet Energy Star requirements. These builders do this so they can use the Energy Star logos and claim they are Energy Star builders.
Only nine out of these 108 builders have committed to have every home they build meet Energy Star requirements. We're proud to be one of the nine builders who have made this commitment. In fact, if you follow the link below, no on-site builder in Colorado's mountain region (i.e. not a modular manufacturing company) has built more 100% Energy Star homes during the past year than we have.
